Driving Instructions:

Take Interstate 10 (I-10) in the direction of New Orleans. Upon entering the New Orleans metropolitan area, carefully follow the signage indicating the merge onto US-90 Business West (US-90 BUS W) towards the Westbank.

After crossing the Crescent City Connection bridge, utilize the right two lanes to take exit 9B for Louisiana Highway 428 East (LA-428 E)/General de Gaulle Drive (Gen de Gaulle Dr).

Proceed straight along General de Gaulle Drive until you reach Woodland Drive, which marks the conclusion of your journey. Turn left onto Woodland Drive.

The University of Holy Cross will be situated on your left-hand side. Kindly utilize either the second or third entrance (Gate C or D) and proceed directly to the designated parking lot.

Please be mindful to avoid parking in areas designated for residents.

This is an introductory, hands-on workshop where participants will learn to automate network devices within a lab environment. Participants will learn about:

      • Various network automation concepts.
      • Communicating with network devices using Python.
      • Popular, open source network automation tooling, such as Netmiko and NAPALM.
      • Strategies on how to get started at their home institution.

Previous experience with a Unix shell is recommended. Familiarity with Python is helpful, but not required.

**Attendee is required to provide a laptop for hands-on activities.

The Security Operations Suite Hands-On is a modular, hands-on workshop designed to familiarize participants with how to investigate incidents using Splunk Enterprise, Enterprise Security, UBA and Phantom. This workshop provides users an opportunity to walk through multiple scenarios and see firsthand how Splunk Security Products can be used to take notable events and investigate, hunt and orchestrate actions based on what is uncovered. The workshop leverages the popular Boss of the SOC (BOTS) dataset and is laid out in an interactive format. Users will leave with a better understanding of how Splunk, Enterprise Security, UBA and Phantom can be used within security operations to process notable events and investigate as they occur in the enterprise.

**Attendee is required to provide a laptop for hands-on activities.
